Lubbock Property Taxes Are Rising 10x Faster Than Population

While families tighten their belts, county spending has nearly doubled. Trey Newton will stop the waste and put taxpayers first.

Trey is a lifelong Republican running for Lubbock County Commissioner, Precinct 2, to deliver responsible spending, efficient county services, and conservative leadership focused on results - not politics.

The 10X Property Tax Gap

Since 2015, Lubbock County property tax collections have nearly doubled.

During that same time, population growth increased only about 9%. That means property taxes are rising nearly 10 times faster than population growth. That isn’t responsible growth. That’s government overspending.

  • Property tax collections: +89%

  • Population growth: +9%

  • Gap: 10x difference

It’s time for a taxpayer watchdog: Trey Newton.
